A Doula is a birth companion, a support for the birthing mother. As an active birth teacher I have found myself attending births for the last 25 years. There is nothing more beautiful than witnessing the process of birth as it unfolds.
During our pregnancy we go through many changes in our body and sometimes the thought of the day of the birth becomes somewhat daunting. Questions arise, how will I cope? Will it hurt? Will I remember what I’ve been told to do?
These questions and more will be answered when you prepare for birth with me. Birth is an adventure that begins with the first signs of labour and ends when your baby is in your arms.
Having a Doula with you will give you and your partner the chance to relax and not worry about forgetting anything…I’m there to remind you and keep things calm…your body is programmed for birth.
