I had the treatment as a birthday present to myself this year. I attend Alison's yoga classes for a few years now, and she is the one that did me a facial just before my wedding so my expectations of the hammock treatment were very high! Nevertheless, Alison managed to exceed the expectations and granted me with a magical experience to all senses, of awakening and peace, a sweet memory that is pleasant to come back to. A very special treatment that leaves you walking on clouds, very very very recommended!

I gave birth recently to a healthy baby boy. During the pregnancy I attended Alison's prenatal yoga classes on a weekly basis, and her "regular"(though extraordinary) yoga classes for some three years beforehand. Before the birth the doctors said that the baby is big (evaluated 3900 gr., born 3700 gr.) and I was concerned that I wo'nt be able to push him out under anesthetic drugs, lying on my back, without and intervention. Therefore, the active birth method that Alison teaches appealed to me as a means to avoid interventions and complications (and for many other obvious reasons). Eventually my labor was a long one - 36 hours of contractions on stage 1, and 5 hours of pushing on stage 2 that ended in a vacuum birth because the baby's head was at an angle that didn't allow it to pass between the pelvic bones. Alison's classes and her birth preparation course have definetly been the thing that made it possible for me to endure the labor and the vacuum procedure completely unmedicated. My body was ready, but more importantly - I was confident and mentally prepared. Thank you Alison for sharing with me the knowledge and the practice that helped me to live through the long and difficult birth with strength and certainity, even though it wasn't the easy birth I wished for.
